KORLOY has newly launched Alpha Mill-X which is specialized for excellent quality in right angle machining and maximizing its productivity.
Improvement in productivity for cost reduction has been always a key issues in overall industries. Developments in cutting machines allow to apply higher velocity and feed which hugely infulenced to improve productivity.
While high speed and high feed machining, severe impact is generated and it causes chattering or even a tool breakage unless proper machinability and strength of a tool are ready. To overcome above mentioned cases, Alpha Mill-X adopted four concepts. First, it significantly lessen cutting load by its exclusive insert design which has a high rake angled chip breaker and high rake angle. Second, it enhanced tool's strength by making insert's width a bit thicker than previous tools so it could achieve stable tool life in the end. Third, it also enhanced clamping stability with an improvement so called as a 'side flat clamping structure'. For the last, it ensures for fine quality even at the workpiece's bottom surface with its wiper type minor cutting edge implementation.
With all these features, Alpha Mill-X could maintain stable tool life in high speed and high feed condition which means it ensures to obtain better productivity and higher level quality in milling application.
Alpha Mill-X has various Nose R in its lineup to fulfill customers' demand, and it would also show improved tool life once it combined with new grades. (PC3700, PC6510, UNC840)
